Forget dancing around the Maypole. I have a better way for a group of women to welcome spring: a relaxing, catered brunch (after the kids are dropped off at school of course).
Last April, twenty of my dearest friends joined me in my home for a brunch to relax, unwind, and catch-up with each other. It was a welcome relief for super-busy, stressed-out moms.
Fortunately, the weather cooperated and sunlight bathed my gardens and house, which of course was filled with spring flowers –daffodils, tulips, crocuses.
Guests mingled throughout, enjoying mimosas and baked goods. Two chefs flipped omelets and prepared eggs to order. I had them in full chefs’ attire, to add to the ambiance. Friends also enjoyed fresh fruit, turkey bacon and breakfast potatoes. The ladies left feeling satiated, relaxed and pampered.
It was a wonderful way to say “goodbye” to the unpredictability of an Ohio winter, and say “hello” to the promise of spring.
